I was so saddened to hear of Michaels sudden passing and it was heart-breaking that I couldn't make the funeral in Cork. Michael was a kind, caring, gentle soul with a big heart and always had a smile for everyone. To Debbie and children, please know that Michael will guide you in your thoughts and words. That guidance will be a condolence, to help deal with his loss. To Michael's, parents brothers and sister and their families, i know your heart is broken. There will be a void in your life's but I know you so well as a family and i know that you will support each other, keeping Michaels memories alive, talking about the good times you had together.

Deepest sympthy and condolences to all your family and friends Michael, especially to your wife, your 3 children, your parents and siblings. I had the pleasure of knowing you through a mutual friend and I'll miss hearing his stories about your adventures together. What stood out is how warm and kind you were to me when we met. I'm so sorry for the loss of Michael. When I found out I was heartbroken .Michael was so nice and was great at hugs. He always made me smile when I was talking to him. He was a great teacher. We will all miss him. I'm so so sorry for the family of Michael. He will be missed also by everyone in Doras. Rip Michael.

Met him on numerous occasions at Doras and you could see his enthusiasm and the joy he shared with his students to make Doras such a cool place to study and at the same time having so much fun, but serious also with a view to better living after leaving college. He was a great man, a great husband and dad to his family, he was a great friend to the students in Doras, and a great colleague to the staff. I am so sad that he passed, I will always cherish the fun memories, and funny, and warm moments that we had. I will miss calling him little blouse mouse. He has been a great teacher to me. He was always helpful and a good listener. He always gave me good advice when I didn't know what to do. He was warm and welcoming to everyone and he gave great hugs. Michael was always comforting and always reassured me that everything will be okay. Michael was always there for everyone when they were upset. I can't even imagine what you are going through, and I am very sorry for your loss, and I hope that you will take care of yourselves.

I met Michael several times in Doras over the years, first when I was a student nurse on placement in Doras many years ago. While I cannot say I knew him well, in my times meeting and speaking with him, it was easy to see Michael was a dedicated, kind and caring man. He will be a sad loss to the people of Doras, his friends and family. My condolences to his family.
