Mary Jane, my deepest sympathy to you, to your dear mother and to all your family on the death of your wonderful father Michael. So sorry to hear from his passing. Great dr . My daughter was one of the last born in Skibbereen.know how you all feel .same happend to us last week. The same illness. Thinking of you all.
To Susan and family our deepest sympathy. Despite the passage of years we remember him fondly. During the 1990s he became a beacon of light and hope for the GPs of Ireland, and indeed for their wives or partners also. He shared a podium in Ballina with Mairead when he addressed the Mayo GP Society at the founding of the Irish GP Wives Society, and his approach to WONCA around that time was inspiring, mixing progressive thinking, deep insight and medical knowledge, with a blend of infectious humour that was irresistible. I trust his legacy to Irish general practice will be long remembered.
