To Jean, and the Boyle Family, it was late yesterday when I learnt of Michael's death, RIP. Please accept my sincere condolences on your tragic loss. I was with Michael for about ten years, in the nineties, in Rathfarnham, when we had great fun and banter, on the Offaly/Laois GAA issue. He will be much missed.

Michael was a great and faithful public servant. He was a Garda and later a wonderful member of the Courts Service assisting Judge OHiggins. In his own time Michael contributed to the democratic life of the country by his tireless community work. In all of his activities Michael brought good humour and kindness and he will be greatly missed. His loss to his beloved wife family and friends will be enormous. May this true gentleman rest in peace.
