Michael was a wonderful kind gentleman. Always great with the political chats. We looked forward to hedge cutting days and the wine that followed. We will miss you. Our deepest sympathy to all Michael's family.

So sorry to hear that Michael has passed. We were neighbours when we both lived in Little Strand Street.
We attended the same schools at the same time .
I remember how gifted Michael was in school and especially at Maths.
We both lived our lives in Skerries and mainly met up for a chat while shopping in C and T.
Michael’s mother passed our house every day and always chatted to our mother Mai.
Too many memories to share but Michael was always a gentleman with wonderful social skills.
Michael will be deeply remembered by his many close friends and neighbours.
It was a pleasure to share life’s journey in our beloved town.
May you rest in peace Michael.

We are sorry to hear of Michaels passing. He was a lovely person and always had time for a chat. Our condolences to his Nieces and Nephews.
Even knowing how ill Michael was it was unexpected and very sad news to hear that he died.. We worked together in O Connell St. and always kept in touch after we retired. A man who had such diverse interests as Charlemagne..same birthday!..
(the eternal student!).. travelling.. a chef somewhere too..occasionally a flutter on the horses..just to mention a few... he was, above all, a kind thoughtful person who valued his family and many friends.
I am truly sorry that Suzanne and I can t get to his funeral as we are booked to go away..but I will remember him with affection.
Rest in peace Michael.. Paddi

Farewell to a great man who was a true father figure to me. I cannot believe that almost two decades of our friendship passed like a day. I’ll miss our crossword battles, deep philosophical debates and of course the great craic we had at other people's expense. You were always yourself and you lived life on your own terms and I deeply respect that. You were a strong influence in my life and I want you to know that you taught me more than just the language - you taught me life's wisdom. You were a great friend and you always believed in me when no one else did. I owe you for that one. My wife and I will never forget you.
Rest in peace, Michael

Can’t believe you are gone, Michael. Thank you for your support and friendship over many years. I am missing and will forever miss our daily telephone chats , invitations to morning coffee in Skerries and hearing the latest gossip! I will also miss our cinema visits and your occasional shake to waken me up if I had dozed off! Your ability to explain the plot of some tv drama which may have escaped me is something else I will miss but mostly I will miss the fact that you are no longer there. My deepest sympathy to all his family and all who were privileged to be his friend.
