Michael was an incredibly kind and thoughtful man, someone who was always so generous with his time. I will cherish the many conversations we shared over our mid-week cups of coffee where his love for music, cars, sport and most importantly, his family, would always shine through. He was a true gentleman and a wonderful role model.

To Anne and the Butler Family, my sincere sympathies on the passing of Michael. We have such fond memories of Saturday morning coaching and cardio tennis, we trained hard and laughed hard but we were never allowed to slack off. Michael you will be truly missed especially by JoJo who always talks about you as his favorite coach, Emma who loved the teen coaching and Kate who loved the Badminton coaching. You truly had an impact on our family. Take care Michael and rest in peace, it has been a long battle for you.

I first met Michael through Business and we hit-it-off straight away and quickly became very good friends. He was one of the nicest people and liked by everyone, friends,colleagues and customers.
I was lucky enough to enjoy with him some of the important days in the Butler Family Calendar, very many Golf Outings and not forgetting the numerous “ Full Irish “ Breakfasts he cooked for me when visiting Lispopple.
I have such fond memories of Michael and our times together and I will really miss him on my trips to Ireland. Rest in peace.

An incredibly dedicated tennis coach who lessons were both tough and fun and where the learnings extended well beyond the lines of the tennis court. Always exceptionally supportive and generous, and a huge part of my childhood, I’ve such fond memories of the Sunday morning lessons in ALSAA, the amazing tennis trips to London and many family events in Lispopple.
