Michael Byrne

I was very sorry to learn of Mick’s death. I extend to his family my deepest sympathies on their sad loss. I had the pleasure of knowing Mick through the Green Monks Walking Group of which he was a member for many years. He was also a great athlete and acted as a pacemaker for Herb Elliott, the great Australian Athlete when he came to Santry in the late 50’s. I was there as a young boy but didn’t know Mick at that time.
He was a very polite courteous man, in summary an absolute gentleman and it was always a pleasure to meet him .May he Rest In Peace.

Many condolences to Siobhan and extended family. Michael was a gentlemen and a great character. He always made you feel welcomed for a chat and a laugh. May he rest in peace.
