Condolences to Mick's family. I was so sad to hear of Mick's passing. I spent many a day standing with Mick on Hill 16 or the terrace in Parnell Park. I always enjoyed Mick's company - he was a true gentleman. RIP Mick - we will miss you.

I am so sad this morning having only heard of the passing of Mick. Many the hour spent in IAWS talking about the Dubs - our favourite subject. I always looked forward to meeting him, loved our chats and would always be the better for having spoken to Mick, he would brighten up any day.

To Denis and Family deepest sympathy to all on the death of Michael. He was a lovely gentleman and true friend. I will always remember the lovely Fuller Easter Eggs he gave me. He introduced me to the Beatles and gave me some great LPs (which he said were only on loan!). In recent years when our phone would ring at 5.25pm we would say that's Michael. Times have changed but I will always remember him. Dermot also sends his condolences being sad at the passing of Michael whom he held in high regard.

Very sorry to hear about this. I used to live in O’Connell Gardens and Michael was such a lovely neighbour! He used to drop us over fruit regularly that he got in the market on Fridays, and always sent a Christmas card to our house! A true gentlemen. My condolences are with his family.

I am so sorry to hear that Mick has passed away - I will always remember the great times we had, especially with our Dublin swimming club in Sportsco on a Thursday night. Mick was a gentleman and had a great sense of humour. He was a cherished friend of mine over the years. May he rest in peace.

One of lifes gentlemen we travelled all over Ireland following the Dubs and was always great company on those trips by car ,bus,foot but always on Hill 16 in the same spot among a close group of friends . So sorry to hear of Michael's death.i knew him through my Mam(Jacqueline Scott).she dated him in the 60s and 70s before she knew and married my Dad(Dermot Scott).I used to love seeing Michael over the Christmas as he would traditionally visit once for a few hours some afternoon around the 28th of December.he used to love my Mam's mince pies which occasionally I would help her make.Michael would also love the takeaway of mince pies he would often get while leaving (up to 6 mince pies.)

I will always remember with fondness the time working with Michael(Mick) in Dublin Airport. A gentleman, a scholar,. Never a cross word, nothing was ever too much trouble and everything was done with such grace. He was an example to us all. May he rest in peace.

Michael was my neighbour. Having moved up from Galway, we knew no one. Michael quickly took us under his wing, watching over us, sending us cards on every occasion and being an all round fantastic neighbour. He made the estate feel like a home. He will be sadly missed, Aoife Mannion
