Michael Byrne

My deepest condolences to the Byrne family on the passing of Michael.

I had the pleasure of working with Michael in the HSE and he was an innovative and dedicated public service professional. But my abiding memory is of him popping up at marathons and running events and him shouting support of me for supporting the runners…I was but a spectator and he was doing the running!

He will be greatly missed.

Sincere sympathy to the Byrne family on the sad loss of your beloved Michael. I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of his untimely death. I had the pleasure of working with him in recent years , a true gentleman, always kind and professional. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Very sorry to hear about Mick's sudden death. In the late 1980s/early 1990s here in Seattle, he was a stalwart on the Gaelic Football field and a pure gentleman off it. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Michael’s untimely death. I worked with him over the last 5 years in the HSE and found him patient, helpful and willing to share his knowledge. He also had a droll sense of humour which really helped during covid zoom calls :-) I hope and pray that his loved ones will find solace in some wonderful memories of Michael. He was a lovely man. May he rest in peace.

I wish to send my sincerest condolences to all of Michael's family. I am so deeply saddened to hear of Michael’s untimely passing. I was lucky enough to work with Michael on a HSCP Research Group. I saw Michael for 10 years. He was a wonderfully compassionate and insightful man. He's helped me and many others I'm sure in immeasurable ways. I am shocked to hear of his passing. He was a special person, and very skilled at what he did. I can't imagine how his family must feel. I can only offer my deepest condolences and heartfelt sadness at his passing. Rest in peace.

Very sad to hear of the sudden passing of Michael. I attended Michael during a very difficult time in my life, I couldn’t have met a more professional understanding and compassionate person to guide me through those difficulties and dark days that I thought I couldn’t survive. He guided me out to the other side in such a no fuss practical manner that I will be forever grateful for. This is only one snippet of the immeasurable good Michael has done in his career. I hope his lasting legacy of good deeds and decency will be of comfort to his loved ones. I only knew him via his career. It wasn’t just a job it was a vocation. May he rest in peace

Michael was a great mentor to so many people. He was amazing. I have fond memories of working with him in Roscommon. May he rest in peace .
