Michael Cafferkey

I regret very much that I could not be with his family at this time.

I remember Michael years ago - when I was growing up near Dublin - as a kind family friend and neighbor; very quiet, very calm, serious, clever, observant - and obviously going places.

He held an important job - which he didn't talk about. During visits, he had time for us, seemed to take an interest in us. And now looking back, I realize that he was - without his in any way trying to be - an
influence, almost one of my guides.

Deepest sympathy to the Cafferkey Family at this sad time. Michael was a regular visitor to our house when we lived in Donabate. It was always great to be in his company, he was always so positive and upbeat. We will miss him dearly. RIP.

I was saddened to hear that Michael will no longer be across the lake from me. He was kind and generous with his time and knowledge when I first moved here, and, there after, always had a smile and time for a chat whenever we bumped into each other. Genuinely a lovely and very interesting man. He will be missed.

We are really sorry to hear of Michael's sad passing. He was a very intelligent man, with a wealth of knowledge which he was happy to share. I learned a lot in his company and shared in some of his interests. Michael had an inquisitive mind, an independent spirit and was a thorough gentleman. You couldn't ask for a better neighbour.
