Michael Cannon

I'm so sorry to hear of Mick's passing. I was lucky enough to have him as my leaving cert english teacher and he was our year head for 5th and 6th year in Coláiste Éanna, guiding us through a very stressful time with warmth, charm and great counsel. He was a really kind, fun and relaxed teacher; a great influence. I know he'll be sadly missed by so many past pupils and staff at the school and we all send our sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

Deeply sorry to learn of Michael's passing and sincere sympathy to Lisa and Pat. I knew Michael since primary school days and our friendship continued since then. I was always delighted to meet him on his many visits to Castlebar - the town he loved so well. He will be sorely missed by so many who treasured his friendship over the years.

Sorry to hear of Micks passing, he was one of the good guys, taught me English and maths in colaiste eanna in the late 80s early 90s. Loved teaching us Arthur Millars works 1984, Death of a sales man. He was a cool man , loved the Rolling Stones , had a presence when he entered a room. My sympathies to his family, gentleman. Michael (Mick) was the epitome of a gentleman. I had the privilege of learning maths from Mick. Easygoing kind nature in a man who instilled confidence in his students and would always go the extra mile to help.
