My deepest condolences to the Carolan family on the loss of a true gentleman. I worked with Michael back in the 80's in Cross Guns Bridge. It was a pleasure working with him, he was one of a kind. Rest in peace Michael.

Although I couldn't be with my family in person to share in our loss, my heart remains in Ireland—where it has always been and always will be. My grandfather was a remarkable man, a true pillar of wisdom and kindness. I feel profoundly fortunate to call myself his grandchild. His legacy lives on and I cherish every moment I spent with him. I will carry his memory with me always, honouring his spirit in all that I do.

Dear Alanna my only grandchild,
I am saddened at the news of Michael’s passing and send my sympathy and prayers to you and your family. Your grandfather was a lovely, kind and gentle man whom I had the privilege to meet.

My deepest sympathy at the loss of her grandfather to my daughter Alanna and her family. Many fond memories at 67 Castle Farm in Swords with Michael aka Hoots 😃. Happily remembered for his kind heart, distinct intellect, quick wit, loving presence and the gentlest of demeanour. So grateful for his lineage and influence upon my daughter.

Miceal we all loved you so much - your memory was amazing and your love of music like Dad’s, your much loved brother Declan is what keeps me going - I loved talking to you on the phone always - you made me smile so much and I know that you are wit your loved ones now who will be so happy to be wit you again as I know you are to be wit them.

My sincerest condolences to Paul, Declan and family. As you know I had the pleasure of working with your Dad, or Hoots as you would lovingly call him for a few years and I can honestly say that I have never met a nicer gentleman in my life. He rekindled in me a love of the Irish language and Irish history that I had lost. He touched a lot of lives in a good way. He will be sadly missed.
