Michael had a wonderful way of finding good in everyone, never flustered and operated with a comforting smile. A true friend and business colleague who will be missed. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Michael's passing. As Court Secretary in the Employment Appeals Tribunal I had the honour and privilege to work with Michael for many, many years. Michael was a highly respected Member of the EAT and will be sorely missed by present and former colleagues in the EAT and all that worked with and knew him over the years. A true gentleman.

I am saddened to hear of Michael’s passing and we O’Farrells send our heartfelt condolences to you Caitlin and to all the Carr family. My fond memories of Michael stretch all the way back to student days at UCG where Michael, Leonard Martin, Adrian Munnelly, John Walsh, Jim Doherty and myself were constant companions. Michael generously ferried us around in his bubble car and later his VW. Our paths crossed again when we both worked in London and yet again when we worked back in Dublin at AnCO. Michael’s kind and joyous personality brightened many lives. He will be much missed.

I was so sorry to hear about Michael’s passing. He was a true gentleman and I have only fond memories of him.

I remember the laughter and great conversations at my grandmother Alice’s in Athlone and Dundalk and the happy times we had with Annie and Henry in Galway.

A long time ago but still fresh as if it were yesterday. Michael had a wonderful smile and he brightened up every room.

I was very sorry to hear of Michael's passing. I enjoyed working for him for ten years in ICI/Allianz - he taught me an awful lot, especially in the skill of letter writing! Our thoughts are with Caitlin and the boys at this very sad & difficult time.
