Michael (Chelsea Mick) Cavanagh

My sympathies on Michael’s passing. Such a lovely man. So appreciative . I particularly enjoyed talking football with him and i loved hearing his memories of matches he attended in England in the 1960s including matches in 1966.

I have very fond memories of the kindest roommate ever, Chelsea Mick. He looked after me in our apartment on St Theresa's rd and in moving between the Sunny Bank and the Gravediggers for a regular change of scenery. I am delighted I got to visit him this summer in Glasnevin and to see he had never lost the wit, charm and mischief. Dublin has lost a truly humble and gracious soul. Rest in peace Chelsea. Your good friend.
