So many fond memories of Michael - one of nature's perfect gentlemen.

My late mam Joan had a great grá for him; indeed everywhere I turn in this apartment where she lived for over a quarter of a century is filled with Michael's handiwork. He was a master at his craft. As a family we are deeply indebted to him. We will always be grateful for his kindness in volunteering to video our mam's Funeral Service via WhatsApp during the Pandemic three years ago.

He was one in a million and will be missed to bits.

I never called him Mick.
I remember him as a handsome young man with a floppy fringe & a shy smile. Dooley people are recognisable, in big groups we find each other by the similarities we carry, The Dooley eye being only one of many.
Young Micheal stayed in our house in the Square in his late teens. One night after he smoked his last fag before bed he shook a box of matches and hearing no rattle threw it on the fire.

It was only when it burst into flames we saw the 3 Twenty pound notes folded neatly into the box, a nod from Micheal senior before he drove away.
He tried with a poker but they were ash.
There was nothing to do.

Let go, let God.

For Young Micheal/Mick Dooley there is nothing left to do. His soul left his physicality because his tough journey was over. He left alone without drama, and will send great peace & acceptance to those who loved him.

He's not resting in peace,
He's a being of light pulsing with the vibrational pull of the eternal energy that is Heaven.

Condolences to the Dooley Family, we are shocked at the news of Michael's untimely death. We were neighbours of his in Emerald Lodge many years ago. Michael was a super guy and a great guy to spend time with. I looked forward to the pints in Dalkey on a Thursday night, he was never short of a funny anecdote!
We only saw him in his van recently and got a BIG wave from him.
