So very saddened to learn of the passing of our next door neighbour and dear friend Michael. Having lived next door to Eleanor and Michael for over fifty years, his passing has closed a life long chapter for us in Allens Walk.
Brian: "In the mid sixties I worked for Michael as a summer job helping with the Bovine TB eradication scheme. As we traversed North Cork farms we built up a great relationship. We chatted about everything from golf, table tennis to art, music."(especially the Beatles) and other worldly topics of the time.
It was indeed a lovely twist of fate that Annabeth and I would end up living next door to Michael and Eleanor in the early seventies. Over the years we watched both our families grow and shared some wonderful moments together.
Slán abhaile Michael, may you find peace and tranquility in new pastures green. Our deepest sympathy to Eleanor, Deirdre, Gerard, Gillian and Bobby, brothers Christy, Tom, sister in law Carmel and extended families.
