In the early sixties Mick was foreman in the new Continuous Stationery Dept., Helys East Wall. I was privileged to be seconded to Mick as an apprentice for 7 months from the letterpress dept. Mick undertook my training very seriously, laying the foundation for my future career. Thank you Mick.
Our paths crossed again later when as adults we printed together in Creation, Glasnevin for six years. On both of these occasions Mick was inspirational to me for his honesty, integrity and human interaction between colleagues and staff. A lovely gentleman whose 63 year friendship I have, and always will, treasure. Rest peacefully my friend. 🙏
