I was so sad to be told on Friday last about Mr. Costellos / Michaels sudden departure from us. What a dapper, steadfast Gentleman. It was written all over his face how very happy he was to have his sons, Stephen and Paul working in Costellos . I bought the perfect sauce pan / milk pan with a lip that same day and this morning, said a special ‘ Thank You ‘, to Michael for an excellent cup of coffee.

Please accept our sincerest sympathy on the death of Michael - he will be greatly missed by everyone on Patrick Street (and Dun Laoghaire). He was a legend in his own lifetime. Summers will never be the same on the street without Michael sitting on a chair outside the shop (everything was for sale), or without him strolling up and down waylaying any unsuspecting passer-by to have the laughs and chats with!
