My sincerest condolences to you all.
I will forever treasure the many very happy times when I experienced the gracious hospitality extended to me by both Mary and Michael at their home during my time in UCD with Caron.
My very first Pimms Cup was consumed in the back garden there, made with exactitude by Michael and enjoyed with laughter by the rest of us, a delicious memory which I treasure over 45 years later. And I have never order that particular drink without thinking of them both.
May your hearts be consoled with the many such memories I know you all have and may your parents reunite for eternity somewhere out there in the Universe.

My deepest sympathy on the death of your beloved father. It is very painful to part with parents and the void left can never be filled especially around the happy memories of Christmas. Michael and Mary were great parents and are now reunited and this is a great consolation for you and your extended family. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I will remember you especially on Friday when I hope to join on line from Cork for the Mass.
