Sincere sympathies to the Daly family, relations, and everyone else who will miss Michael. I know its certainly not forgotten that Michael provided the initial 'training ground' in broadcasting at his Togher radio studio in the early-mid 1980s period to some well-known voices nowadays heard on Cork 96FM and C103 radio, as well as other former broadcasters. Sad to hear about the passing of Michael. Worked with him when I was younger on the ice cream vans. Fond memories of him and having lunch in his mother’s Sheila’s house.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Michael. My condolences to the Daly and extended families.
I have fond memories of Michael's Radio Caroline Cork in the 1980s. Michael and his small team provided many hours of entertainment and at a time when there were few opportunities a chance for young broadcasters to develop their skills which a number put to good use later in their professional careers.
In later years Michael,over cups of tea in his home shared numerous memories with me of those radio days which were full of colour. He was proud of his achievements but, typical of Michael, never sought the limelight himself.
I will miss his colourful presence.
