Michael Devine

Mike was a very warm man who was always very kind to us when we were living on Station Road. RIP

Dear Mrs. Devine, Mary and the Devine family.

2 summers ago Mrs. Devine, you and Mr. Devine welcomed us into your home and treated us to a wonderful afternoon of talk, tea and the best rhubarb pie we have ever eaten!
You only knew us as names from Mary but you treated us like members of your family.
What a lovely time we had with yourself and this lovely man who drove us around and taught us about Tom Crean and showed us your beautiful town. And he taught me the word “Taoiseach”!
We will never forget his kindness and generosity and yours as well.

Shocked and devastated to hear of our fantastic uncle Michael's passing. A childhood blessed by summers in Anascaul with Michael and Nora, and our cousins, I cherish always.

Michael was the kindest of souls and so generous to us all.

He told a great story, and I loved his laugh at the end of a quirky story that always seemed to involve some poor soul getting his comeuppance in some unforeseen way (to the poor soul himself at least). Sometimes these were in the direction of the Dublin GAA team!.

Forever enriched to have been in Michael's so often over the years, it saddens me to be so far away from you all at this time. Love to you, Nora, Patrick, Mary, Patricia, Margaret, and all the family. Look after each other.

That photo of my Uncle Michael is exactly the way I will remember him. In his happy place in the garden and workshop. Everytime we visited he would take us out there and show us his most recent piece of work.
Michael was one of a kind, he aiways had a smile on his face and loved to have a joke and a laugh.
We will miss him greatly.
