Our deepest condolences to Fiona, Emma and Joanna on the very sad loss of your father. I have known Don for more than 60 years and in our earlier days spent many an evening in one of the Upper Norwood pubs putting the world to rights with him. I shall very much miss our telephone chats, meeting up on Don's visits to London and the interesting conversations we had. Don was very well informed and had a great sense of humour. I will miss him. May he rest in peace.

Don left a great impression on me and was one of a very small group of unique characters whom I met throughout the years. The world is a less engaging place without people like Don.
