To Claire and Mark,
I was very sorry to hear about Michael`s death, particularly as I would have tried to attend his funeral had I known about it in time. He was a very interesting and cultured man and I enjoyed our chats about common interests ie visiting the D Day beaches in France and our shared love of Chopin`s piano music, particularly the first Ballade. He bore his illnesses with great courage. We will all miss him in the Surgery. It was always a pleasure to deal with him. RIP
