Michael Duggan

Westmeath Sports Partnership was very saddened recently to hear of the death of ‘Mick’ who had worked with us for the last number of years providing first aid and CPR training.

Michael was a wonderful instructor with a great passion for his work, and we’re sure his enthusiasm to impart life saving skills has impacted countless lives in the last number of years.

Mick was also a recently retired fireman and has been described as a gentleman and a wonderful colleague; sentiments which we would very much agree with.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to his wife Vivienne and his children Aaron, Emma, Scott and Katelyn and his extended family.

RIP Mick Duggan, very sad news! A true gentleman/ ironman..

Michael was the instructor of first aid training I undertook in the National Transport Authority in early 2023. I'm very sad to hear of Michael's death, especially after the many lives he likely saved himself, both directly while working in the fire brigade, and also indirectly by training others in first aid. And his training of others will likely continue to save lives, even though he is no longer around. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Greatly sadden to hear of Michael's passing. He was a wonderful human being and a excellent first aid instructor. Sincere condolences to his family.
