Sincere sympathy to all the Dunne family, your dad was a Knight in shinning armour to many as an ambulance driver. His kindness and wit will never be forgotten.

I'm really saddened to hear this news. I always have the fondest memories of him from when I was a child. He'd come out and visit and the house became a brighter and happier place just because he was there. I loved to see him arrive out. In recent years, I'd always meet him up at Sadies grave because it was beside Mum's. We'd talk and he loved Sadie so much and missed her terribly. And even while he was sad right there and then, he would always make a joke to lighten the mood. Both of them, are without doubt reunited now and very happy together again. I am very sorry for all of your grief. He was one of a kind. A man to truly be proud of.

Mickey was at our wedding in 1980, he told me he had to leave early as he had to be up at 6 in the morning to go to a cock fight. It took us a while to figure that one out. We saw a lot of Mickey in Droimnin in the last few years as Marie's mother was there as well. He was the same vibrant Mickey with a glint in his eye and that roguish smile. May Mickey have a safe lodging and a holy rest and peace at the end.
