I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to Terry, and to her children and grand-children, on their great loss. Also, to the extended families, on both sides. It was always a joy and pleasure to converse with Micheal, whether in person or on the phone. A world of gratitude is due to him, for the huge effort and time he put into researching and compiling his family genealogy and history (both sides). So sad, to see someone of his calibre and ability, leave this world, but l know that he is in a better place. May he rest in Heavenly peace. Liam Maher, Derrica Beg, Ferbane, Co. Offaly.
Our sincere sympathy to Terry, Katrina, Michelle, Cormac, Lorraine and Kevin on the sad passing of Michael RIP. He was a true gentleman, friend and wonderful neighbour. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathy, Terry, to you, your children and grandchildren on the death of Michael. It was a great privilege for me to visit him three times in your home during the last couple of months of his life, not only as a friend but as a priest. Michael joined our class in Fifth Class in O’Connell Schools in 1954 and we were together right through till Leaving Cert in 1961.
Though I was in the Philippines from 1971 till 2017 I met him at class reunions and, in latter years, on Class of ‘61 outings and lunches. I have happy memories of our long friendship. He was a gentleman and great company. During our chats on the phone during the last two years when he was undergoing treatment and especially during my visits to your home I was deeply touch by his deep Catholic faith and by the great love he had for you, Terry, and for your family. He was totally at peace knowing that his life here on earth was coming to a close. Solas na bhFlaitheas ar a anam uasal – the Light of Heaven on his noble soul.

My deepest sympathies to Michael's family at this very sad time. Michael was a true Engineering professional whom I came to know well during his time as Adjunct Professor in Design in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering at UCD. His work with the students and staff within the School brought a great level of clarity to the practice of the Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering in the real world and his humour, directness of vision and personal touch will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
Sending sincere sympathy on your recent sad loss to Kevin, your mother Terry, brother, sisters and your families. May Michael’s soul rest in peace.

Sorry to, hear of the passing of Michael the finest of men. I knew Michael when he worked in Irish Distillers on the engineering side and I was in the accounts section. He and I had worked together on the Midleton Distillery Project and Michael helped me with the data inputs. I got to know Michael during that time and we became good friends. Michael was such a nice guy and a pleasure to work with. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time. May Michael Rest in Peace.
To Terry, Katrina, Michelle, Cormac, Lorraine, Kevin and to the wider Egan family, our deepest sympathy on the passing of Michael. He was a true gentleman and a wonderful engineer, always looking to learn more, to help and encourage young engineers and to deliver a quality project to our clients. He was a pleasure to be with and to travel with, enjoyable to play a round of golf with, and a good man to sing a song at times. He was a wonderful friend and work colleague. May he rest in peace.

To many his friendship a find
To students an inspiring mind
To the waters he fished long
To books and history he belonged
To family tree he built branches
To problems he found answers
To a walker he was a talker
To those in need a friend indeed
To engineering he travelled far
To golf he made the odd par
In recent times he loved his art
To illness he fought long and hard
A smiling face behind a pint
Waiting for Terry to end the night

Our sincere sympathy to Terry and family on Michael's death. He was a true gentleman who always thought of others. May he rest in peace.
We pray the Lord has welcomed our Egan Clan Chief, Michael, into His kingdom and will comfort those left behind. In 2013, I had a problem with the Shengen Agreement while visiting distant cousins in Germany. I emailed Michael, and told him that although I didn’t know where my great-great grandfather came from, in Ireland, I would like to visit. Michael dropped everything to help and invited me to Eire. He took me around Dublin and recommended sites at New Grange, Fuerty, Clonmacnoise, the Egan “castle”, etc. The same tears of appreciation I felt at Fuerty are with me now as I grieve the loss of this great man. God bless!
We are so sorry for your loss. Michael was very friendly to us when we moved to Terenure and is fondly remembered by our family. His encouragement and assistance with his ladder when my eldest son was locked out has entered into family legend. A kind and good humoured gentleman.
Our condolences to Terry and the whole family.

Condolences to Terry and Michael’s extended family.
We have had the pleasure of meeting Michael several times. We will never forget the fabulous 2016 Clan Egan Gathering in Dublin which Michael organised. We visited so many historical places relative to the 1916 Easter Uprising and were very interested to hear Michael’s extensive knowledge regarding those very difficult times.
