To Maura, and all of Micks family. I am so very sorry for your loss. Twenty years ago this year I started in Dundrum and Mick was so good to me. He was always so kind and supportive to me. He always looked out for all of us on the unit and when I moved back to Cork he was always great to stay in touch. I could never thank him enough for all that he did for me, which was always above and beyond. He was so proud of his family and his beloved Maura, he always spoke so highly of you all. Its hard to believe he is gone, one of the warmest, kindest, funniest people I have met to date. I am so very sorry that he is gone ❤️

Very sorry to hear of Mick’s untimely passing. I was on Unit ‘C’ in Kilmainham so we’d often meet up at some calls together.He was a very steady man and good to have with you in many situations.

Michael and myself joined AGS the same day 6th October 1982 and we both arrived in Kevin Street together the following March. He was the senior man of the entire intake a person we looked upto for guidance. Enjoyed our time in Kevin Street together immensely. So sorry to hear of his passing way to soon. May the good Lord console each and everyone of you at this very difficult time and may Michael Rest in the Peace he sought to defend.

Condolences to Maura and the three boys and extended Ryan Family on the death of Mick. He was my Sergeant in Dundrum Station and he was a wonderful and very competent man. Everything felt secure when Mick was there. He was serious when necessary and humorous and witty also. He could read any situation perfectly. A brilliant man on the computer having worked in Control. Mick had a great knowledge of the law and had a fantastic memory. Mick was a great worker and a brilliant man to write a report. You couldn't fool Mick because he had a razor sharp mind. It was a joy to work with him and I learned a lot from him. Mick was also very generous when he was out. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam uasail.
