I had the honour of knowing Michael as a cheerful, good humoured, great colleague for many years. It will be devastating for his young family. I can only offer with humility, my deepest sympathy.

Michael, the news of your death will remain as one of the things that shock and shook me most in life. The memory of the good time we shared together as colleagues since 2004 will equally remain with me forever. You're such a friendly, sincere and down to the heart person. Elizabeth (my wife) couldn't believe such a wonderful person like you could go so soon. My thought and prayers are with your family. Rest in Peace Mick.
