Captaining the Moycarkey Borris team that won the Mid Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship of 1967 Michael was an accomplished and brave hurler. With Mick Lonergan and Paddy Bourke Mick was part of formidable full back line. He also played Minor and Under 21 Hurling for Tipperary. A bad knee injury deprived Michael’s of more years in the red and gold jersey. Respected and remembered by all who played with him, he remained a steadfast supporter throughout his life. May Michael rest in peace.
