Michael was an inspirational coach and teacher and there are so may words of tribute he deserves for his years of commitment to his players and pupils and the endless hours of free time he gave bringing personal and Munster championship team success to the High school. Ahead of his time as a coach and trainer he inspired us with his personal drive and his quite belief in all his players and we share many happy memories of the days of success. A very personable man it was always a pleasure to meet him on my return journeys to Clonmel either at the Friary or out shopping, he always had time to talk of his family and how everyone was getting on.
