Michael Gerard Ahern

My sympathy to Michael's family on his death. I knew him during his years in Dublin through sequence, céilí and set dancing. I remember as a beginner, newly promoted to the social dancing group, when I still couldn't dance and talk at the same time, being utterly astonished to see him talking Irish to his partner while dancing. The following week I was even more astounded to see him conversing in French.
A very learned and intelligent man.
