Very sorry to hear of Michael’s passing.

I was very sad to hear of the passing of Michael. My sincere sympathy to the Murphy and extended families on your huge loss. I worked with Michael in the 1990s in the Department of Agriculture. Michael was a fantastic boss, colleague and mentor. Wise beyond measure. A true gentleman. May he Rest in Peace. Ni fheicimid a leitheid aris.

I had the privilege of working directly with Michael in the Finance Division of the Department of Agriculture "all those years ago"now !

Often bumped into him around the Agriculture building subsequently and enjoyed our chats

In more recent years have ,on occasion, met him on the bus heading home after one of his Philately evenings and continued our chats

A lovely aimable man ,and a true gentleman .Every sympathy to his family on his loss.

So sorry to hear of Michael's passing. We were both colleagues and choir members in the Dept of Agriculture and also members of the Ulysses choir in Ely Hse. Michael left many a smile of a lot of people's faces with his story telling. Condolences to all his family and friends at this sad time and may Michael rest in peace.

Michael was a long standing member of the Dept. of Agriculture who kept us informed on finance matters but more importantly on all the news and gossip that made life pleasant.

Sincere sympathy to the Murphy family on the death of Michael, a valued colleague in the Department of Agriculture, an advisor and helper in my stamp collecting days and a welcome
familiar face met unexpectedly but very pleasantly in Rome, London and other places on my
travels, a dedicated choir-singer and what we used call in Kerry 'a gentleman and a scholar' -
with in his case the emphasis being on the word 'gentle'. God will be good to him as he
himself has been to others.
