As an apprentice I worked with mickey and then in later years to become his manager at Stonebridge Park was a privilege Mickey was the life and sole of the lift road

It was a shock and terribly sad to hear of Mickey's passing.
At Stonebridge Park Depot I worked along side him many times and enjoyed
lots of coffees and teas with him listening to his stories. A kind warm hearted man
with a great sense of humour. What a character! And as others have said a Legend.
He will never be forgotten.

I remember Michael gave me & my sister £1 every time he saw us as kids. He always had so much fascinating knowledge to share and inspired me to read more. I’ll forever remember him every time I see £1 or pick up a book. RIP x
