We were heartbroken to hear about the passing of Father Mike. He was truly an integral part of the Kilgallon and Dempsey family. Through the decades, he stood by all of us during life’s most sacred and significant moments, such as baptisms, first communions, confirmations, weddings, and even in times of sorrow and loss. His presence was always steady, kind, and full of grace.

We first came to know Father Mike in the early 70s, and from the very beginning, he felt like family. He was more than a priest. He was a mentor, a counselor, and most importantly, a dear friend. His visits were always something we looked forward to, filled with warmth, humor, and genuine care.

We will forever be grateful for his friendship and the deep faith he shared so generously with all of us. His memory will remain a blessing, and his legacy lives on in the many lives he touched so profoundly.

Please accept our heartfelt sympathy to the Gilsenan family and his many friends. You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this time, and we’re holding you close in our hearts.

I had the pleasure of meeting Fr Michael at the wake of our beloved uncle,Bishop Brendan Comiskey. He was a truly fabulous character,full of warmth, humour, and great stories. We shared some lovely laughs together that evening, and I remember his kindness and presence so clearly.

To his family, his brothers and sisters in the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts, and to all who knew and loved him, please accept my heartfelt sympathies. May you find comfort in the legacy of faith that he leaves behind.
