Deepest sympathy to Nora and Family on the passing of Mike. An exceptional man who loved his family and also the game of Soccer. Like Mike , I was on many of the committees of the FAI over many years, we thought along the same lines, and supported one another. His dedication to the Desmond League, the Munster FA and of course the FAI knew no bounds. if he had something to say, he said it, and was never found wanting. He is a big loss to Nora, who was always so supportive to him as was his and the Football family. Due to illness i was unable to attend his funeral. May he Rest in Peace.

I played against Mike in Desmond Cup Final 1966 Kilfinane Forest v Foynes.
He was a great help to AislingAnnacotty in getting tickets for international matches in more recent years and we enjoyed the company of himself, Nora and Michael on many away trips.
