Deepest sympathy to Elaine and family on the sad passing of Mick. My dad Clem always spoke about Mick in such high regard and loved to tell stories about their trip to Vigo on Vervine Blossom. Mick kindly allowed me to bring a few 'country' friends around Dublin bay on Vervine, which they still speak about to this day. He was a gentleman and although it was a sad occasion, I enjoyed catching up with him two years ago when dad passed away. I hope they're both sharing stories of the good times once again. Rest in peace Mick ❤️⛵ thinking of you all.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Micks passing . We have fond memories of Mick at the Galway Hooker regattas. He played a pivotal role in the revival of the Galway Hookers and we will always remember the dedication and effort himself and John Healion made during those years . Tá laoch ar lár!A legend has left us. The news of Mick’s passing has shocked us here in Carna. It was only a few weeks ago Damhnait and I met Mick in Carna at Nan Casey’s funeral. Our deepest sympathy to Elaine , Sarah, Martin and the extended Hunt family also our condolences to Johnny Healion and Healion family.Mick and Elaine have been friends of ours since the mid seventies when the Galway Hooker revival began. Mick had great grá for Carna and for my parents Macdara and Bríd , memories of a trip to Mason Island,a day on the bog and many happy occasions come to mind.Mick was a gregarious, loyal friend and one of nature’s gentlemen.Fear farraige agus duine uasal!May he sail to his eternal rest under protection of St MacDara.

I hope they are all happily sailing together and there is no more pain or suffering. It was so nice to have seen Mick at Moms funeral recently. He always checked in to see how Mom was doing.
