My deepest sympathy to the Coyne family on the passing of Michael, RIP. He was part of the Guard of Honour for former President Mary Robinson in Tipperary last November and I am also aware of his association with the Tipperary Remembrance Trust. On my own behalf and on behalf of Tipperary Peace Convention, I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to you all at this very difficult time. I have just read the article in the news paper on the passing of Michael a brave man..Although I do not know him I feel that as I am a former retired irish soldier who served part of my career in Galway Bks I would like to pass on my deepest sympathy to Michael's entire family , may he rest in peace.

In memory of our fellow American Legionnaire and good friend, Michael Coyne. Over the years, Mick attended several military burials and dedication ceremonies conducted by the John Barry Post in the west of Ireland. His dedication to the military history of Irishmen and women who served in the U.S. army was absolute. As a founding member of Irish Veterans, Mick gave full expression to that interest. It was my great pleasure to work with Mick over the past 20 years. He will be missed and he made a difference. Deepest condolences to Libby and all the Coyne family on behalf of John Barry Post.
