Michael was a great character and a generous person. We remember sharing many occasions of great fun with Michael and Méabh. I will also always remember his assistance and support as he helped my brother and I in our first foray into the working working world as teenagers.

I was indeed saddened to learn of the passing of Michael. He was a true character. I first met him in 1961 with his late brother Aidan at a Bohs match. He was a great Bohs and Dublin fan. It is with great sadness that I have learned of Michael’s passing. I have been privileged to know him for over 40 years and I have many fond memories of him. I remember his love for sport, sense of humour, professionalism and the help and advice he gave me in my career.
