Dear Jody, Darren, Michael and Family,
I’ve been thinking of you all today. I’m so sorry to hear about your dad’s passing - it’s such a huge loss. I have such warm and fond memories of him… he truly was a gentleman with a kind heart and a beautiful soul.
I managed to watch some of the
funeral online during work today, and it was so moving. Michael, your words were incredibly touching - you spoke so beautifully, and you all did him so proud.
Sending you all my love and strength from Wales.

Michael I was so sorry to hear of your father's passing . thinking of you and your family at this very sad time .
Mick Kearin, a footballer from head to toe. My thing was rugby but I loved watching Rovers almost every week. Mick Kearin was a Prince of midfielders. Composed and skillful. He would ‘control’ a game with consummate skill. What a player. When I think of Rovers it’s Frank O’Neill, Johnny Fullam, Paddy Mulligan and Mick Kearin. Sheer class.
As for young Michael, a star schoolboy rugby player in Newbridge College and earmarked to go ahead and get capped for Ireland until he broke his leg playing for Lansdowne. And that was that. He was a class act too, which was proved conclusively today when Michael delivered a superb homily to his Dad at the funeral, different class, and a wonderful picture of a great and happy life. Everybody left that church with a buzz and a warm heart. Well done guys, what a great send off to a magic man.
