Joi and family my sympathies on Michael’s passing.

A great friend for almost 50 years. We met whilst working together in the 70's when I was, as he liked to remind me, his tea boy! We shared many, many rounds of golf, lunches and dinners over the years. Michael joined me on the Hookers golf tour in 1995 and barely missed a year since. He was always great fun on tour especially at the 19th hole and over dinner and loved nothing better than to win the money on the day which he did all too often!

Michael will be a huge missing presence in our gym group and on this and every future years’ golf trips, but he will live on in our memories/stories and his name will always be on the Cup!

I was shocked to learn of Michael’s very sad passing. I first met Michael in 1969, when my family moved to Blackrock. We were very good friends through our school years and our time in Belfield. And, even though we drifted apart as the years progressed, we’d always have great conversations whenever we’d meet up.

My sincere condolences to each of you, to Jo-Ann, and to the family.

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to join you on Saturday but I’m abroad at the moment.

I’m also just thinking of your parents, Sonny and Sally, and how welcoming they always were to your family home in Bellevue Park.

I was shocked and saddened to learn last Friday of Michael's untimely passing.

I recall Micheal for our Colaiste Eóin school days. Michael was in the first ever year of the school with my own brother Seán. Micheal was always smiling, optimistic and pragmatic, and a great friend to both Seán and myself.
