Sincere Sympathy to Sinead & all who grieve for Michael.
I still have special memories of his mentoring me on my first teaching practice in St Oliver's in 1977.
Suaimhneas Siorraí do anam uasal.
Fear uasal Gaelach i ngach bealach ab ea Michael. D'fhág sé a rian chun maitheasa pé áit a raibh sé agus pé post a bhí aige. Comhbhrón ó chroí do Mark, Alan, Sinéad, dá ghar pháistí Ana, Caimin, Lucy, Hannah, Holly & Beth, dá dheartháireacha Séamus & Paul. Aithne agam air ó 1956 i Móta Gráinne Óige agus a iarrachtaí triail a bhaint as gach rud!! An-ghrá aige don cheol, do chultúr agus do theanga na Gaeilge. Thug sé an-chabhair agus spreagadh d'ábhair oidí, do mhuintir SCG-OCG agus lucht foghlama na Gaeilge i gColáiste na Rinne. Folús ollmhór fágtha ag a imeacht ón saol seo. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam uasal agus leaba sna Flaithis go raibh aige.

On behalf of all the Ludden family we would like to thank everyone who extended their condolences to us and our families on this website, yesterday at the funeral home and church and today at Dads funeral. The beautiful messages and memories that were shared of Dad give great comfort to us and it is lovely to hear and read them. I would like to especially pay tribute to Fr.Hurley who gave a very special homily, it was just perfect, the choir of St.Michaels, Loreto were amazing and we thank Ms. Harney and Ms.Maguire from the bottom of our hearts. Thanks to Ms. McCaughey and all the wonderful staff, both past and present from St. Paul’s for their attendance and for the guard of honour at the end - Dad would have been beaming! Thanks also to Peadar and his team from Farrelly’s Funeral Home, they were excellent. Best wishes and we wish health and happiness to you all ❤️

Dear Mark, Alan, daughter Sinéad, Jimmy (Seamus), and all the Ludden family. My heartfelt condolences on the passing from this physical plane of your beloved Michael. He was and is such a beautiful man. I know Michael through his brother Jimmy, and through Seamus and Paul. One of my most abiding and sweet memories of him is being musically serenaded by both Michael and Paul at a family gathering in Malahide. Michael, always kind, warm, easy to talk to, funny, intelligent, both light hearted and with depth. There are no endings and there is no death. We just change form. He will continue to grow and love and be, in a different form and his warm laughter will ring out in our hearts always. Joanne

I want to express my sincerest condolences to Michael's family. I am so sorry for your loss.

I only met Michael a few times, but each time was unforgettable. In late September/early October of 2019 my mom, my cousin and I flew from Boston, MA to Ireland for a vacation. We were so fortunate to have Michael accompany us for several days of our trip. He was an entertaining guide to say the least! The stories he shared with us were funny, quirky and memorable. Often, he would point out something of interest to him and then teach me the Gaelic word for it. I remember him teaching me that the Irish word for cow is "bo" and the Irish word for road is "bothar".
He said "bothar" literally means "cow path". This is one small example of the wealth of information Michael shared with us on our trek through Ireland. I told him towards the end of our trip how lucky his students were to have him as a teacher. His love of learning and living life to the fullest was so evident in the way Michael spoke about Ireland. Thank you, Michael, for making our trip to Ireland in 2019 so very special. I didn't know that would be the last time we would see you. You will be missed.

Sincerely,
Paige Marie Faulk
