Farewell old friend,farewell.Your generosity of spirit brightened the lives of everyone with whom you came in contact.I shall never forget our many battles togetherin the courts and with the Revenue on behalf of mutual clients or our many outings on the magnificent links of Scotland and Ireland.My female staff still talk fondly of this kindly,tall,leonine patrician figure stooping under the office doorway,laden with gifts of biscuits,coffee and confectionary for their delectation.The verses of an early bard are singularly apposite
The Roman head on Gaelic shoulders set
The silver hair,the tall heroic frame
Are seen no more,but will not be forgot
But some will not forget
And till they die,will reverence the name.

had the pleasure of meeting Michael when I was in Glasgow taxis And he also helps me with the business I’m in now .
( total big gent of a guy ) (same as his son and family who would go out their way to help ). very clever man and very down to earth as well . My wife always used to laugh because even alougth there could be god only knows how many different files all piled up on his big desk he always seemed to be able to find the one he wanted always instantly .

I first met Michael over 40 years ago.
We hit it off straight away, due to our love of sport, i.e. horse racing.
He was always very welcoming, and made you feel as though you were part of the family.

So sorry to hear of Michael’s passing. I’ll always remember trips to the office every December as a young artist with my friend Ruth and our disastrous accounts. Michael’s kindness, funny stories and overflowing ashtrays always made it a much more enjoyable experience than we expected.

It was with great sadness I learned of the passing of Michael Lynas, a good friend and a fabulous accountant.
I will always remember his dry sense of humour and his disdain for bureaucracy.
His terminology regarding them was legendary and something you looked forward to hearing on every visit.
He was a gentleman and one of a kind and will be very sadly missed.

Our first meeting with Michael was 18 years ago. It was a meeting that will always remain with us simply because of Michael’s manner. Friendly, of course, pleasant, most definitely but caring and concerned for his client and new friends.
After that first meeting Dee made the observation that “we had just met a lovely man”.
It continued like that over the years and we always looked forward to our tea and biscuits with Michael.
Now we deal with Michael’s son and no better compliment can be paid than to say you are definitely his son.

Michael was a true gentleman with an avid interest in Celtic Football Club.
Our father ,John Clark, always played a part in our conversations about Celtic and in particular The Lisbon Lions. He spoke about our father and the rest of The Lions with great affection so at this sad time our father, John, along with the rest of the Clarks and indeed the whole Celtic Family offer our sincere condolences.
