To Suzanne, Olivia and the family and friends of Michael, I’m very sorry for your loss. I never knew Michael personally but we knew some people in common and I often heard it said by others, down through the years, that he was an absolute gentleman. My parents both died of the same terrible disease and I was able to take solace in knowing that, by the end, they had had enough and that their suffering was over. I hope you do too. May Michael rest in peace.

I was saddened hear of Michael's passing. We only had a good chat last year. I first met him in the early eighties i think at a "Beat on the Street" in kilkenny as a car mad teenager cruising around in my fast ford i think he had a Porsche at the time , sound guy to talk to and not afraid to push his cars to the limit, & over the yrs i bought many a part from his dismantlers yard .

I met Michael and Suzanne socially in Dublin through mutual friends during the Celtic tiger years before I moved to Kilkenny .

Michael was good such fun , had a welcoming smile , a firm handshake and always a positive oulook on life .

My deepest sympathy to Suzanne, Maura and extended family.
We have very fond memories of Mikey, when visiting while we were children.
Mikey always had the good stuff to play with and he had no problem sharing or giving it away.
I remember him giving me two fully built model aeroplanes to keep, a fire engine, and an air gun.
When we got older the interest turned to cars and he used to take myself and my dad out for what he called "a burn".
One burn will be etched into my memory forever, it was in an Alfa Romeo. We did over 100mph on the road back to Kilkenny with my dad speechless and white knuckling the passenger seat, while I, in the back seat couldn't decide if I was terrified or excited.
We were all fine afterwards and the blood returned to my dad's fingers later that evening.

All good memories - Mikey you were one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
