He was a lovely man and a great neighbour. I will always remember from my youth the friendly salute from across the road when I would see him, he always had an infectious smile and he had such a lovely way about him any time we would have a chat when we would cross paths over the years back in Clashduv . My late grandmother always spoke so highly of both your father and your late mother Marie. May they now both be reunited together now in our lord's heavenly kingdom . I shall remember Michael as an absolute gentleman who was a very supportive colleague. He was an extraordinary combination of affability, seriousness, deep sensitivity and a mischievous sense of humour. May his family find some comfort now in their own memories of him in happier times.

Dear Philip, Ann, James, Colm, please accept my heartfelt sorrow with the passing of your dad, Michael. He was a wonderful man and I always enjoyed any time I was with him. I could see how much he loved Marie, and her passing was difficult for him.

I.felt blessed to have him as my cousin, and he helped me understand history of the McAuliffe line.
