I was so saddened to read ofMichaels death in the “Irish Field”.
I got to know him meeting at the shows , showing mares& foals .He was very much a down to earth man with a” farmers walk”. & a lovely man to chat with. My Heartfelt sympathy to Nuala his wife & Michaels Sisters & Brothers. May his Soul now Rest in Peace.

He was a wonderful man who had a real love for the animals under his care.We witnessed this first hand with the loving care that he gave to our dogs over the years.
He also had a great passion for the GAA and many a great chat was had about the fortunes of Clonakilty GAA.

I have lifelong memories of our lovely visits to Western Road meeting up with Mary and Catherine and all the Mc Carthys with the tea and fresh baking always available.

Also great memories of Michael when I worked in Dublin and he studying he never changed from being a jovial easy going character who kept everyone happy with his sense of humour.

May you now entertain all who went before you in your heavenly home Michael.

I had the privilege of dealing with Michael and Nuala for 20 years approx and he was an absolute Gentleman to deal with... professional and sincere through and through.... so appreciative and when you had the endorsement of Michael... you felt you were doing something right.
We'll miss you Michael as they don't make them like you anymore... but we'll remember you for what you were and all the good that you stood for in life.
