Condolences to family and, friends of Mickey. Last of the great characters on the Boyle road, never short of a word or a yarn, particularly about the big pike that got away. On one memorable fishing expedition with, myself, Mick, Ollie & Mickey, we battled one such pike until he snapped the line. But thinking it wasn't a pike and, that we snagged the bottom, we were back on the water with Mickey the following day, to drag the bottom in search of the bait. Eventually, we lifted the broken line and, the illustrious big pike was on the end of the line. Mickey knocked great milage out of that story for years to follow, about the monster he battled, that took 24 hours to land. Rest in Peace Mickey
