To Denise, Jennifer Richard and family,
I was so saddened to learn of Micks passing so soon after speaking with him recently in Athlone. He was a dear friend to Paddy and I since we were teenagers in Athlone. Hopefully Mick, Paddy and Denis are reunited now and watching over us all.

Dear Denise, there are so many superlatives used by many in expressing how wonderful your Mick was. You know it and his love lives on in your children and theirs too. May your spirits be lifted by all this love Mick left behind. It was a privilege to have ever met him.

So sorry to hear that Mick passed away. While I didn’t work directly with Mick I interacted regularly with him. Such a gentleman, so committed, helpful and always operated to the highest standard of integrity. Most of all I enjoyed the odd bit of banter about Man Utd as I also support them. May he RIP.

Deepest sympathies to all of the Burke family at this most difficult time. Mick was the first manager I had when I joined AIB and he was such a kind and caring boss, great fun and gentleman to his core who was liked and respected by all who worked with him. It was great to catch up with him every now and then over the years at Christmas with the Adelaide road gang and see how much he was enjoying his retirement and time with family who clearly brought him so much happiness. May Mick rest in peace and sending love to all his family.
