He was a loving gentle and interesting person. I think there was a little part of his heart that never left Ballyheigue. Rest in peace Michael.

It was with the greatest sadness - that I have just heard of the passing of a really good man - Retired District Officer Mick Dineen - " B " Watch - North Strand Fire Station - Dublin Fire Brigade - I had the greatest privilege to having known and worked with Mick - he was the heart and soul of the Station - never to busy to lend a helping hand to all - and especially to a brand new Recruit - Mick was a friend and mentor to both myself and Dad - no words can express his loss to his family and friends - my Heart goes out to all - Rest In Peace Mick - your shift is over - sleep tight - your old mate Buzzer
