Sympathies to you all. I have very fond memories of a brilliant goalie for st. Michael’s especially in the ‘70’s. He was a gentleman on and off the pitch. I last met him at Noreen’s funeral and was delighted to have a little chat with him. So sorry I couldn’t get to tipp on Wednesday but Noel told me even the band came out to play. A very fitting tribute for a really lovely person. Sincerely. Yvonne

We have just heard the really sad news of Mick's passing. What a great character we have all lost as well as the best junior keeper I ever saw. As someone has already written, he was one of the givers of this life. He got me to play for St. Michael's, giving me the most memorable sporting years of my life- maybe the most memorable years of my life indeed. He got me a job in Gortdrum Mines, helping to keep me in Tipp Town. We kept in touch over the many years since I left Tipp and I will sorely miss dropping in for a chat on my visits there. He will be much missed by a great many people. We would like to send our condolences to Rita and the family. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.
