Michael (Mick) Halliday

A very belated sympathy to the Hallidays. So sorry to hear of Michael's death. Have lovely memories of some very good nights in Dunmore.

Belated sympathy to the Halliday family, my good neighbours in Dunmore, on Michael's passing. Only after hearing the sad news. Great memories of growing up together and our subsequent encounters as we looked after GAA affairs in the IT's in Dundalk and Sligo. May his gentle soul rest in peace

He was such an intelligent, witty and insightful man who I had the pleasure to meet in reunions and on occasion, in Dundalk . May He Rest in peace.

Very sorry to hear of Mick’s passing. He taught me about quality and we collaborated on work experience for International students. I remember well what a helpful, practical and genuinely nice person he was. Sincere condolences to the family.

I have very fond memories of Mick in DkIT. He was a larger than life character who gave his all to students and colleague's alike and was so knowledgeable as an officer in the TUI. My condolences to the Halliday family on the sad passing of Mick. He was a colleague during the RTC days and a partner in research on the Castletown River. We had some memorable days bobbing about in an open boat in the winter rain, and trudging through the river mud. Mick suffered meteorological insults and the resulting discomfort with both cheerfulness and wit. May he rest in peace.
