My sincere condolences Madeleine, Michelle and Susannah on the extremely sad loss of Mick - he was a true gentleman, such a warm hearted person always with a big smile on his face. I have many happy memories from when I was a child of Mick and Madeline at Mum and Dads dinner parties with the Dowds and Cagneys where lots of craic was had and maybe some cheating at the card table too! Will never forget being on holidays in France when we all drove down and Mick was learning to swim, i learnt very quick not get caught in his way when he was in full flight in the pool! Sorry to learn of the death of Mick I knew him at work in the early 70s as a gentleman, and a proud Derry one at that. He always had a smile (even when mischievous) for everyone. Sympathies to Madeline and the girls at this sad time.

I'll especially remember too Mick our great times on the Hill of Tara and our visit to Maghera last November to meet your extended family and the warm welcome we got in the Town you loved so well.

I first met Mick when I was transferred by Northern Bank from Belfast to Dublin. Mick took me " under his wing " and we shared a few flats in late 60's and early 70's
I was pleased to have him as Best Man at my wedding.
